BOYLSTON, Mass -- A Boylston police officer is recovering this morning, after his cruiser crashed during a high-speed chase.
His vehicle slammed into a telephone pole on Route 70. It brought down several power lines.
The officer was chasing two men who were speeding on motorcycles. He was not seriously hurt.
The bikers got away.
That part of Route 70 had to be shut down until the telephone pole was replaced.

It sucks when anyone gets hurt. Bottom line, but my biggest beef with the whole thing is what kind of logic is it to chase a 400 pound object with a 4000 pound one. C'mon, use some better judgement. Lucky the car only hit a utility pole.

i heard somewhere that an officer cannot exceed 30mph over the posted
speed limit if he is in any kind of vehicle pursuit of any sort. did anyone else
here this or was i just told a lie??? maybe that's why the news didn't post
how fast the cop was going when he lost control of his car

if it was only somethin for town/city police for speeding on the
back roads of towns. so there isn't any un necessary fatalities.
such as kids on bikes or people walking dogs and things of that sort.
