Teach, I trust your answer but as a student you must explain your reason to get the takegawa kit over the Kitaco's. There are a few people to the XR50 site that say to get the Kitaco's rather then the one you said. Can you explain your reasoning?

found it,............ I was set on a Takegawa 88cc s-stage, but then I talked to a friend that knows ALOT about bikes. Here's what he said, "you'll make a little more power with Kitaco's. It uses a 20mm carb instead of 18mm, has a slightly larger filter, and the piston is machined billet instead of just cast. The larger carb gives you more topend power, and the piston revs higher than Takegawa's. It really is a better kit. I'm actually removing an S-stage off my son's bike that has less than two hours on it to go with Kitaco's because it's faster." So I went kitaco, and no complaints here. ITS SICK! go kitaco.

ftrain, the real reason is my brother said so... i believe we order out of the two bros catalogue at naults...what does the kitaco come with? the piston thing and the larger carb are whatever...you should get a foam air filter either way. i also have a rev box which allows the bike to rev higher and cleaner....we should find out what damien got, i think it was a takegawa with me....
everyone i know with an 88 has the takegawa-mostlyi becasue i got it for them....
compare prices as well and get back to me...sounds like kitaco is good though, but takegawa DEFINATELY sounds better!
