Dirt Bars
I just picked up a '03 YZF 600 to add to the ol' collection. Im thinking about throwing some dirt bars on that bad boy. Only problem is I dont know how to go about it. Any body got any advice?

ya usually need a longer throttle cable and clutch cable as well

Get bar clamps from an old motorcycle. Your cable might be long enough, might not. Brake lines wont be long enough, get braided lines for a bandit 1200, or something equivelant.

Tell that to Kyle Woods and Matt Gorka. Cus I'd like to hear their response. I know you got skills Ronnie, but Kyle and Gorka are two of the best out there. There must be some reason they use 'em.

We do them at my shop. It runs about $600 on the bike. That is welding the mounts to the bars. Top of the line bars, braided lines.
You have alot more control w/ the freestyle bars.

Dont get me wrong, I have no idea whether there good or not. I've got stock on my Gixxer, and its gonna stay that way. I just heard that its better for control, especially on stoppies. At first I thought it was crazy too, but then I saw Kyle, Gorka, and Chauncey (on Gorkas ride) using them and thought there must be something to it. Figured I'd try it out on my new jalopy. Who knows.

600 bucks!!!! damn thats way to much you can buy a top triple tree clamp from spiegler brakes systems usa for about 400 and i think they come with bars and everything you need and thats not a stock triple with welded on dirtbike clamps thats the real deal. they sell them for just about every bike
