Boaring........accept for the electric steering damper. Looks like the 600. They couldn't come up with more original styling? Hopefully they won't follow Suzuki's lead, and make everything look the same.
Sounds like the new Gixxer 1K will get a new airbox, and new fuel injection and not much else. Hold on...R1 domination is back!

Yeah he know's a lot! "Inline four my ***" What did he think it would be? a V5? He's already been proved wrong on that point. Suzuki might change the throttle bodies, and the airbox, but that is about it. No manufacturer can afford to, or has the time to redesign their bikes every year.
"I can assure you that Suzuki (and Honda for that part: inline 4 my ***) are not sitting back doing nothing for 2004.
You also need to understand that Suzuki feels that the 2003 1k is nothing more than an **UPGRADE** . You just might be shocked very soon..."

i agree with Nasty, unlikely Suzuki will update the 1K this year... they just spent all that money to design, engineer and tool up the factory for the updates on the 03. It would be dumb to update again for 04, and not recoup the cost for releasing the 04. The 03 1k is still an extremely capable bike in street and race trim and i think will hold its own in the comparo's as well as sales as an 04. im figuring the 04 R1 will be about the same horsepower as the 1k, maybe 5-7 more. NO need to do anything drastic on suzuki's part. Maybe minor updates for the 04, but depending on the success of the others, im betting on a new or at least heavy updates for the 05 1k model for suzuki. id expect 04 updates to the 600 and the 750.
As for the kawi, i think the new 10R will be right up there in motor dept. Kawis have always made a strong steet motor IMO. Plenty of Hp and torque in the mid and top. But, as with the 6R , i think kawi will come up short in the suspension dept. Suspension and brakes to some extent have always been there short coming in recent years. I loved my 6R for its motor and its personallity, but its suspension was like that on an old ski-doo, with extremely tight compression damping, and its brakes were wooden. Unless the recent merger with suzuki will help their chasis engineers out (i didn't on the 6R), i think the 10 will be hindered by suspension flaws.
in any case, it will be fun to watch them dice it out. they all look like great bikes.
Decisions, decisions, decisions.....
