Did I blow a seal? Fork seal that is

I think I blew a fork seal on the left front side of the 954 on Tuesday night. There was a puddle of oil on the floor of my garage this morning. How worried should I be about this? Can I ride on it for a week or so until I get it fixed? Can I damage anything further? Should this be covered under my warranty? How much does it cost to get fixed and how hard is it to fix it yourself?

Thanks

Yeah, you blew it. I'd be carefull stopping fast, cuz it wont. You can ride it but it wont do any stoppies. If you ride it, now the fork fluid is all absorbed into your brake pads. Might as well buy new ones. But it should get you around, remember, rear brake.

if the oil is red you blew a fork seal, if your just going out for a ride and not stunting tie a little rag around the fork tug so it absorbs the oil and helps prevent it from getting on your brakes

Jay Carnes will become famous soon enough
my seals are so blow the front of my bike sits like a low rider. Oil's everywhere - on the tank, wheels, rotors, tire. I still ride it but I would say get it fixed asap.
