Re: Nhrr Cookout

If you are not making money for $20 a head then you are doing something wrong. I will be boycotting this event. $5 to $20 is a big jump.

Re: Nhrr Cookout

We had a party last weekend with 10 kegs and all the food you can eat, live band, porta-pottys, and the whole shabang. We charged $20 per person and raised over $2,200 to be donated to cancer research after tallying our expenses. Not making any money? surrrreee...

Just for the record ... I think that it is VERY respectable that you donated your money to cancer research ...

Anyway ... just wanted to let you know that I am glad there are still people willing to donate to a good cause ...

Re: Nhrr Cookout

OK, I will do the math.
500 x 20 = 10,000
10,000 - 1150 = $8850
Say $2K for food
$8850 - 2000 = $6850
$6850 = profit
I love math!!!

Re: Nhrr Cookout

Look at it this way some one has to put up the money at first...

600 poeple insurance = $2100
Shirts = $750
2 bands $250 piece $500
officer 8 hrs $35hr $280
food $2000
outhouse $75
Gas grill $95 + 100 dep $195
tent 185 +185 dep $370
-------
$6270
So when u put up your own money and u need to get that money back
theres not much to me made...

To try to put some thing like this on cost money and not all of us r loaded...so some thing like this kills our pockets so if there is any money made
its just used for the next year...hope fully it gets bigger and better...Ill let u borrow 20 bucks if u still want to go....

Re: Nhrr Cookout

Shawn,
Seriously, don't even waste your time justifying the party. I hope you have a good time and I might stop by. I know it takes work putting something like this together, year after year. I've yet to attend and I kick myself everytime for not going.

Like every year, I am going to the Deutsche Bank Championship in Norton that day. I'll be in Arnold Palmer's tent drinking beers on the fairways telling Tiger he sucks since he met his chick. LOL!! If I get back early enough, I'll stop by. I only live like 15 minutes from you now. How late do you guys party to?

Brian

PS. Jay Hesso-Gay... eff you. My cell phone doesn't work in Windham.

Re: Nhrr Cookout

Hmmm...I remember the days. Some good all weekenders in the boro. Tikis and tents, toothpaste and pool tosses. Fifties blastin around the hood bringin the 5-0 into the mix. Food that was always off the hook when it was made by a funny drunk black cook. A/C his and hers seperate pooper. I think I spent about a grand at the most. But hell it was well worth every penny. One of the things I will always miss about this whole "Stuntlife Community". So weird how a few years things change soooooo much. Have a great bash!
