What's the trick to wheelie an XR-50?

Just got one yesterday and have spent most of the time on my *** so far
I'm gonna throw a 12 bar on it just to save the tail from getting toasted. Still have to get the bmx-bars and springs too...

So far big bikes are way easier ...but ya, what do you guys do to keep it up forever and do circles on these things?

edit: sorry... this should be in the how-to forom... oops

simple-practice, yank on the bars and get good with the brake, the higher gears the easier w/ side to side balance, just practice man you'll get it

i just got mine 2 weeks ago and also learned about the almighty back brake, the most important part of wheelying a 50. 50's are fun as hell and i recommend them to anyone who likes motorcycles.

anyhow...ur going to have to practice for 3 months...everyday.
youll know when your geting enough practice when ur *** hurts...
if it dont hurt...then you didnt do enough seat time for the day...go back out side and ride.

You will also be able to tell by how much blood flows out of the knee area.
if your knees arent bloody with scabs everywhere....you not on it enough.

the scabs and blood go away around the 4 month along with any *** pain.

j/k tenny

Re: What's the trick to wheelie an XR-50?

Don’t get my wrong I love big bikes still but there is one great thing about riding a 50 over a big bike and that is the variety.

You can go from parking lot black top one wheel stunting to, BMX park jumping, to trail riding, to Grinding on boxes and polls all in the same day.

If you keep playing with the 50 you might end up riding your big bike a lot less.

Re: What's the trick to wheelie an XR-50?

If I can learn, anyone can.

Practice, practice, practice. I'm still practicing every day.

The guys at SiK50s threw street tires on my 50 this weekend. MUCH MUCH easier to carry the wheelies. It no longer falls to one side or the other.
