88cc big bore

hey i just ordered a 88cc cylinder and piston with a super oil pump, im going to buy the sik 50s touring cam seperate
anyone know which size carb i should get? i want it to rev out higher i was told a smaller carb revs higher and larger gets more torque. so since i want more top end should i stick with the stock 16mm or should i go with a 18 or 20mm ? i seen 88cc kits come with 18 and 20's - or maybe i should do overkill and go with a 22 and do some modifications for more rev? i need some suggestions. also if anyone has a used XR70 head i want one for my xr50, do those fit right on or do you need mods for that? superhead kits cost too much! last but not least, on hondaminitrail.com i read about a dual spark head - what the hell are they talking about? didnt show a picture or a price or anything , goto that site and read the whole list and see what im talking about - its the only site that had something about that for a xr50 that ive seen...

go with the 20 carb. you can always jet it down. My friend put on a xr70 head, it just bolts on. I think you would of saved money if you bought the whole 88cc kit. It comes with carb, cam, intake, cylinder, piston and some other shi*. Also the ultima exhaust is the best i have tried. big gun, fmf, fast 50s is not good for the 88.

sometimes takin it easy and lookin over things and getting thing one thing at a time - and doing it differntly than others works out better... maybe itll be faster than all of yours in a few months :P

i think i'm just gonna do an 88cc by the cylinder and piston. i might use stock carbs and jet it up and see how that works cause i don't feel like spending 400$ on my fiddy.

anyone done this yet?

YOURE GOING TO SPEND IT ANYWAY! and you will want to upgrade to the kit, and its going to cost more piece by piece.

If you want a motor that revs out higher go with a bigger carb. If you want more torque down low go with the 18mm carb. Yes, the XR 70 head will bolt right on but the compression will not be as high as with the stock head. The 70 head uses a different dome configuration. I've done 88cc kits both ways and honestly it is hard to beat any of the Takegawa combinations for the money.

well, someone said that hte 88cc is a little wild for the street for doing wheelies and stuff.

i was thinking of maybe boring it out and using a little bigger piston like boring it 1mm over or something so i can still use it for stunts.
