Go-Pro wide on an rc helicopter at the spot

Thought it might be cool to get some aerial shots of the spot with a little help from my rc chopper. I thought it would be shakier than it is but it turned out ok, I definately need to be lower and learn to keep position better. Hopefully I can get some more shots soon.... after I fix a broken helicopter

Re: Go-Pro wide on an rc helicopter at the spot

That was pretty cool but how high were you? It looks like the better shots would be hovering right over them oor beside them and going around them in circles

Yeah I was definately too high shooting that, and I'm still not a good enough pilot to comforatbly circle someone, but I could probably chase someone doin straight line combos!

I was probably around 40ft, I think if I came down to about 15 it would be much better!!

yeah the sound is really annoying, I can take it out when I get some time, and I wish I could lose the fisheye just like that but it would require buying a whole new camera

Ill have to check my cam out but I think the wide angle lense is in the case part of the cam .... so if you used it with out the case it might not be as wide of an angle

Re: Go-Pro wide on an rc helicopter at the spot

that lense is part of the go pro wide version i belive.... but yah the chopper needs to be closer as the OP stated, good stuff tho. Oh and BTW, it is illegal to fillm from an RC helicopter just so u know, i know its ******* lame and nothing will probably happen to you...just a heads up .....i'll try to look for some info for you about that. You shouldnt stop filming but be prepared to have cops give u ****. I have heard guys talk about getting their **** taken away filming form rc helicopters.

sick idea I was thinking about doing this, but the fisheye doesn't work, spend another $180 and get yourself another go pro wo the wideangle.
