Re: Progression Video!

Good job man!! A few things ...
your panic revving your bike before you let the clutch out : Rev once and let the clutch out! {{if your revving more then once your thinking too hard about it}}}
as your pop the clutch you move your body toward the bike! ::: DONT! bring the bike to you!... not you to the bike!

and RELAX!! and just have fun!!

The best time I ever had in this sport was back in the day, when me and my boys could not do ****...and it was fun just to learn!!!

Re: Progression Video!

I've seen a few of your post and videos and it sounds like you do the same thing that I did (and still do sometimes) is get the tire up, chop the gas, get back on it, then chop again until you run out
the biggest thing that helped me was a friend telling me to be smoother with the throttle and not "chop it" out. I know thats what alot of people say but once again that is what helped me the most when first starting out

Re: Progression Video!

Hey man. I think I saw a video from you a few days ago... maybe pictures can't remember. But the progress looks good!

I paused it at 3:04. My observations:

The bike is at what should be the bp yes. However, you are slightly in front of the rear tire. Your body weight should be behind it. This evens out the weight of the bike on one side of the pendulum, and you on the other.

Even though you are staggering, stand up straight. Your left leg should be nice and straight, nearly locked. Straighten up your back nice and tall and quit hunching over.

That's what many of the guys here mean by saying to straighten out your arms and lean back.

And on nearly every whoolie, it sounds like you're doing a bit of a burn out... Clutch it up a bit smoother, and if you get closer to the BP from the get go, you will probably be less choppy on the throttle. However, you best have your rear brake skills in effect for that.

My biggest peeve is "cover the brake" **** that. Know how to use your brake. Clutch the wheelie up higher, and use the brake to slow the wheelie into the BP.

My 2 cents.

agreed. im sick of seeing this kid make retarded *** comments on every post i open up.

anyway, onto the topic, as others had stated, a little smoother on the clutch and try to get up higher from the start.. also a bigger spot wouldnt hurt, looks pretty cramped there. keep up the good work, bp will only come with practice :YEAH

Re: Progression Video!

dude. Pop the clutch...let the clutch out as fast as it can go out. All you have to do is rev it up smooth and it won't be very jerky. Once you get the timing on the clutch and gas, it will pop up almost to bp everytime. DO NOT SLIP THE CLUTCH!!!! That's for circles and stalls.

Re: Progression Video!

was your idle up? The speakers on my comp are not working so well.

First thing is your nervous take all the plastics off your bike then you wont worry about the bike

Turn your idle up and just keep POPPing the clutch but dont ride it out just keep trying to get the bike up higher and higher and practice hitting the brake. Once you get use to it you will start catching the idle and that is when you can start riding it out.

I've seen allot of people at the spot try to learn the same way you are and once they hit BP they forget the brake and they bail, and then they cry because of all the damage to there bikes. In my opinion this is where street riding comes in handy, you learn allot by rockin the streets.

You improving keep at it, and practice sit downs as well.

Yes this is exactly right. If you slip the clutch, you will just accelerate fast.

anyways slip the clutch as in let it out little smoother, also you choppy as **** on your throttle smooth it out. pop the bike up higher at first then you can ease right to bp and control it with your rear brake. try working on keeping the throttle smooth and controling it with rear brake.

you can read all you want on stuntlife but what helps ten times more is finding a local guy in your area with talent ride with him. nothing beats advice in person.

also seat time seat time seat time!! keep it up youll be there before you know it

squid!!!!!

Re: Progression Video!

I turn mine up to like 2.5 - 3 but u really don't have too unless you plan on doing slow wheelies. just turn it up a lil bit and do what the pros told me, clutch that bitch up to the bp.
