Talking its ICE time!!

well i finished the back tire and just need to get some more studs for the front. i'll hopefully have the bike finished for this weekend....i have monday off so i plan on hitting the ice sunday and monday!!

How many studs do you have in the rear tire? Im going out tommorow i might try a windscreen on the ice we will see how i feel.

well...with a 2 down front and 2 up rear i could slide two fingers with heavy gloves in between the tire and swingarm.....and the studs are a little less then 2 of my fingers...so hopefully they will fit...if not...guess i'll have to grind them all down.....i think the 1" might cause me some problems....might have to pull them out and go with all .875"

I honestly can't remeber how many are there, I did that tire last year. They are shitty used carbide studs from some old sled tracks. I planned on setting up some tires this summer and working out some different combinations to use next winter, but it looks like you guys are doing all my homework for me. My bike is pretty unstable out there, it looks like from your pics you are hitting some nice ****-------props for that!!!!! this stud setup does NOT work....you need small screws, like kold kutters to do this:
