ice stunting

Hey guys,
props to you for ice racing / stunting :YEAH

I'm about to stud my tires (on my gix 750) and I saw on your "studding 101" that you where using 3/4 inch Ice Studs, they seem smaller than the one you use right now (.875 ???), but it seems that you need a lot more also. Can you tell me wich one holds the best to the ice?

They have small dirtbike studs at the local shop, and I was thinking about using that. just need you feedbacks!

thanks

Re: ice stunting

I am running carbide trail studs made for sleds, I switched from ice screws because the ice has to be bare to get any bite with those. Also they like to back out alot so you are constantly re-tightening them. The carbides work well but you have to make sure you have enough clearance to use them. I have a new set up in mind for next year but I'm keeping that under wraps until I complete it. Good luck and make sure to shot lots of video and pics when you get out there!!
