I found out that a 426 can beat a studded MXZ600

and a studded ThunderCat

What a great day!!!!!!!! I just have to mount the tires on the 900 and I'll be ready to get hurt, I mean have fun:devil

Question ????????????????????

Wha? A YZ taking a thundercat on ice? For some reason that sounds slightly bogus. Mine will do 105+ in 1000 feet. Its faster off the line on ice than any stock streetbike is on pavement. So by default - a YZ 426 should beat a Busa to 100 mph??? - NO!

That dudes T-Cat must not-a hooked up.

Yates - your my bitch

Pete - props on the ice wheelies - I wanted to do that last winter but lacked the motivation due to constant hangovers.

Thanks for the props, but that 426 has had alot of work done to it, and he was smoking just about everything that was under 900cc, stock. My 929 was beating some of the sleds also, I took today off from work to test her out again, just put an extra 350 studs in the rear. There 875 studs now in the rear, I might put some more in the front(only 350). Thanks again and when are you guy's coming down to see this??

Yeah, the whole T-cat & 426 thing boggles my mind too.

I can see if the bike is hooking up and the sled is spinning, but if they are both hooking up that sled should toast it.

However, just about anything will smoke my Mach Z on ice...that thing isn't studded and it will just sit in one spot and spin...doh.

There has to be a traction issue here somewhere.

Oh, and nice wheelies :D

That 426 is STOCK!!!!! stock pipe, stock gearing---you name it-----800 studs in the rear tire and when he beat the T-Cat he wasn;t even hooking up, I showed the video to some guys tonite. They are just really fast. There was a couple of F7's out that beat him a couple of times but he was still right behind them. I know its hard to belive but I do have video of it!!!!

I saw the video too!!! The 426 was fish tailing for quiet a ways.

You have to keep in mind the power to weight ratio!!! Remember that's why our bikes are so much faster than sportcars with 200-300 horses

I know you guys aren't lying :D .

How far were they racing?

I raced a 450f with my piped Banshee this summer and he beat me, but didn't spank me as bad as I thought he would. I know my sled would toast my Banshee by more than that 450 was beating me.

One thing I also was amaized at is that a stock Banshee (my friends) is faster top end than the 450 was. I know that they are geared for acceleration, but I had a CR125 that was about the same speed top end than a stock Banshee was. No matter how much I think about it I still can't believe that the Banshee was faster up top...but I saw it with my own eyes .

But that is one thing I have learned with racing...it doesn't always go how you think it will.

One year I got beat by a 1981 Moto-ski 377 against my Mach Z. Talk about embarrasing. I'll never race anything in the powder again.

What lake are you guys gonna be playing on? I'd like to come check it out some time.
