Yates what do you use? i have vegas video....but for some reason its not recognizing that my camcorder is hooked up to the firewire....maybe its something screwy with my firewire port.

well i found out my problem....i decided to rip into the computer and as soon as i got the side cover off the problem was sittin right there infront of me.....the firewire port wasnt hooked up to anything.....after getting intouch with the company i bought it from, then the company that built the computer we came to the conclusion that the motherboard doesnt support firewire.....soooooo....i bitched...told them it was false advertising and they are sending me a 3 port Firewire pci card....free of charge
