thats a good question...cause if they were smart they would enclose those cases with some aluminum or somethin cause have you ever seen what a stud can do when if flies out at about 80mph...might as well get shot with a .22!!! but this is definately gettin done this year in upstate NY!!!

The cages are to protect other riders from getting chewed up incase of contact, just like circle track ice racing
