i suggest mt. katahdin up in maine...i hiked that when i was 11. it's a really nice hike, tallest mt. in maine.very challeneging towards the table top, giant chunks of cliff that you had to manage to climb up, sort of arranged like stairs. (i had the assistance of my older brother cuz i was not tall enough) let's see...i go to moosehead lake maine which is in greenville. 6 hours from boston. it used to be awesome. nothing better than the great outdoors. i went there every year since i was five. took a boat to "high bank" or sugar island...the only way back was by boat, and if a storm was coming from spencer bay you were so screwed. try mt.kineo(i think it's spelt with a K)as far as i know the only way to get to it is by boat...now moosehead lake has people actually sweeping up the campsites!!! what is that place coming too...they're preparing firewood all nice and cut..man what a bunch of lazy people now a day. tuckerman's revine is definitely scary. climbing mt. washington at 10 years old it was frightening to look over and see it there! i'm no where near that great to ski that..i'd probably kill myself. i'll stick to the regular mountains.....oh! a nice place that i love every time i go up there is Kokadjo, Maine. about 45 minutes up the road from Lily Bay State Park. it's soo nice. a little restaurant (log cabin type thing) serves the greatest pancakes ever!...up by there is tom's bog which you can camp down there...there's a long dirt road that goes on for miles. alright i gotta go...hope you have fun up in maine! lata
