thats cause the staties cant do anything to you, your on private property, they have no jurisdiction there at all.

Why your doing stand-ups in the toys-r-us parking lot is another thing, the medford popo's are there all the time. Were you infront or behind T-r-us??

John

Those are different circumstances, they dont have chap. 90 laws on private property, unless its in an entrance or exit from and to the place(i think)...now if you smashed a window and tried to steal a car you'd be fucked

yup, only cause its on privately owned property. This doesnt mean they cant harrass you and pull you over, there cops, they can do what they want for the most part.

I'm surprised muff was doing this in that parking lot though, they just opened a late night Dunkin Donuts drive through there:D

later,
John

ps Lefty, arent you a cop?

Lightbulb

Even your local cops have to get an invitation from the local business to give parking tickets in their parking lot.

Guys,

A trooper can do as he pleases. If there were people around and you may have been endangering them - DTE will be issued whether you're on private property or not. The judge will decide if it's valid or not but don't think you can touch the old oak tree and call gools and they'll walk away. If you don't beleive me, get some friends together in a parking lot and do some wheelies with the cops watching, or you can read up on Civil violations and state statues.

what civil violations and state statutes say that a police officer can issue a DTE charge if someone is on privately owned property? I quickly looked through chap. 89 and 90 laws and didnt see anything.

But like bri says, dont be stupid

I know that if the cops get a phone call saying some guy did a wheelie on 495 they can show up in random places and hand out DTE's to random people. But I couldn't find anything about that in any chapters or sections of the general laws of ma. I must not be looking hard enough..........

I doubt that any ticket would have held up in court, never the less I would have not have stopped for them. Please don't pull over for the piggies-they work for Lucifer and will steal your soul.
Nothing good ever come from a ticket except making the mans pocket fatter. Oh and if that piggie from Daytona that wrote me a ticket last month is reading this just thought I would let you know I am now behind on my mortgage because of you(I didn't do anything).

thats all good though ~

Thumbs down Do not be stupid and not expect to get caught

All I know is that you should not do a wheelie down Appleton street in downtown Lowell. An officer on a bench eating lunch saw me and I was shutdown like whoa in the rotary a few minutes later. It was like fly on ****! The best thing is to not be stupid like myself and keep the stuff to safe areas. Listen to your mom and always look both ways before stunting. All chargers were dropped and I have a clean driving record but it still cost me nearly $1,000 last year during all of my court appearance on several tickets. This year I have yet to get in trouble and prefer quite places to practice.
