Are you guys going to be riding in Maine at all. With Vertical Outlaws or whatever. I guess I gotta call Phil and see what the deal is. I can't miss any riding that goes on up here. We see so little of it.

Damn, this is one of the best threads I've ever read. There is some really good info here. I went over at about 60 about 3 months ago and it's no fun. Make sure you wear your gear practicing those high stoppies

This is my consistent hight. This one rolled for about maybe 5-10ft at maybe 10mph. I've been locking the **** out of my front lately, can't figure out WTF I'm doing wrong...I was doing fine a few weeks ago and I'm doing nothing physically different...now I lock the **** up about 60% of the time.

Your form looks ok. Your tire could be locking up because it's just getting cold outside. Temp makes a big difference.... or you can just buy a Avon and never worry about it again. .

Seriously, It could be you're not "humping the tank" hard enough or leaning forward enough when you grab the brake. The greater possibility would be the tire and temp though.

Try an Avon. I recommend them to anyone.... especially to people learning. They never lockup. I've never had one lock up on me unless it's 30 degrees out.

Good Luck,
Bri

I believe its from not humping the tank...when i was humping it I was rolling fine.

Can't be the temp...it was rather warm out....I guess if i just hump a little bit I'll be fine.:D

Rick...Its all about physics Bro...Apply that knowledge u learned at Riddle LOL
I'd mayeb work a little on your setup too, If your forks are setup wrong, then its gonna make your stoppies all unstable. Maybe add a lil preload to the forks, so they dont slam down and bottom out and then pogo back once your in the stoppie. Also maybe add a lil rebound. With stock springs in the forks, you'll probably have to add a lot of preload

Re: johnny, teach, bri!!!! help

that **** was hot!

'the good ole days'.....i wish there were some good threads like this today instead of most of the garbage

and teacher what would make a bike tankslap like ogres in BSS, i've already replaced front tire, forks, lower triple, clip-ons, and tightened the headset bearings....i'm putting a new rim on tomorrow to see what that does, joe to the VO said that bar ends help stabilize somehow

hopefully sooner that later my front end feels like poopie
