im pretty sure you cant get a plate but you can register the thing .... Want an idea? My buddys' bike crashed and his ownership was turned into a salvage title..... He went down to the ministry and told them he lost his ownership could he get a new one .... so he paid the like $25 or whatever it was and the new ownership didnt say salvaged on it ...... just my 2 cents

Yes registered with a plate. 1st Called the insurance company got insurance on the bike. 2nd took the paper work from the insurance company and went to the dmv (or you can have the insurance company go for you like 10 bucks extra) . Left wit plate and regitration. Why did you think you couldn't do that? Just wondering.

my f4i was salvage
you have to put it back together, and then get it inspected by the state police. they make sure you have receipts for everything, and that you put it back together correctly...
kinda a pain in the ***....i probably won't be doing it again.....

give me a ring today with that number, I shouldnt be working too hard
JJ, i dont plan on ever getting this thing a clean title, its gonna be a piece of ****, beat up and run poorly, my main concern is whether i can ride around with a salvaged title and not have to deal with the bs of getting it inspected. I really dont if i dont have insurance, no one will want to steal it anyways.

in order to get plates and stuff, it HAS to be inspected. no salvage vehicle can be on the road. You have to apply to get a reconstructed title, and the only way to do that is to rebuild it and talk to the staties....

But it looks as though I may have slipped through the cracks.. Insurance seems to be status quo and I just received the registration renewal in the mail the other day.. Someone forgot to do thier filing... I am keeping my fingers crossed
Probably just jinxed my *** the cops are waiting at my door at home now to take the plates :p

I called the registry up yesterday and was informed that you need to have the bike inspected by the state police in order to register on the road. That would mean having reciepts for all the parts I have, I'll have to see if i can pull that off I guess
