Actually I think the ZX-6R has the 636cc motor which is the same one that Europe got last year. The ZX-6RR is also a new motor that is being used for racing as it abides by the rule of a maximum of 600 cc's.

Thumbs up new bikes

I've read some **** on the new 'saki, finally they're steppin it up again. I know for the last couple years their market has been more street/comfy touring but now it has come together in a nice package. I was never really partial to saki's myself but this year(2003) they got some nice **** goin for the 600 class. It's the first to have the inverted forks which is cool. They look nice, maybe those one's suck but, i don't know. Sounds like they did some serious engine mods this year too. It's about time they made something worth buying!
As for Honda I haven't read aything yet

Yamaha has a new "controlled filling" die casting method this year. the main frame went from 16 welds to only 2! thats sick, and they say it's literally 50% more rigid! that's technology, i bet everyone will be on that band wagon soon!

Yes Yes Yamaha is still the way to go! lol j/k can you tell what i ride...

nice icons lol

Good call dude, i just read that it was the other way around for the cc of the motors too. That's cool more power less cc's now. I never knew that they used a 636 for the last few years.
later,
Keith

Actually I think last year was the first year that europe got the 636 and we've never had it over here. Both motors are all new. I don't know what the power output is of each motor but you know what's effed up, the RR (the race bike), is a claimed one pound heavier than the 6R which has a bigger motor. Something kind of strange there.

The ZX-6RR looks like it is going to be a very competative bike next year. The first 600 with inverted forks and it will have some nasty brakes. Big step up for kawasaki!!!
