i know a lot of people that keep them in there basements....luckly i have a 20x22 garage, heated, thats used just for bikes 
come this weekend i'll have my 2001 Gixxer 750, 2001 R1 and a 2002 R1, oh and a 1983 Kawi Spectre 550 woohoo...lol.....but your best bet would be the basement if you can get it in there. Mine would be in the living room if i owned my own place it would be a perfect discussion piece....lol
